NEW YUKON LIQUOR REGULATIONS IN EFFECT APRIL. 1, 2009.

WHITEHORSE – Amendments to the Liquor Act and Liquor Regulations have been approved and will be effective on April 1.

The results of the recent public consultation were taken into account in developing the final version of the Liquor Regulations, required to support the related Liquor Act amendments.

The amended Liquor Regulations include a requirement for the Yukon Liquor Board to consider a capital investment guideline for new licence applications of $250,000 inside the City of Whitehorse and $100,000 in the rest of Yukon, based upon assessed property value.
