WHITEHORSE – Yukon Liquor Corporation is helping 2009 Yukon grads enjoy substance-free activities as they celebrate the end of the school year.
“Graduation from high school is significant in the lives of young people,” Minister responsible for Yukon Liquor Corporation Brad Cathers said. “We are pleased to provide funding to help grads celebrate in a safe and responsible manner.”
Yukon Liquor Corporation (YLC) is donating $2,825 towards substance-free activities for graduating classes. An additional $1,173 was raised through the Substance-free Grad Chocolate Campaign in Yukon liquor stores this past spring. YLC has also made a matching contribution to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Yukon.
